On May 16, 2025, The Buis Book Foundation visited Britt Elementary School in Snellville for the first time to give every Kindergarten, first, and second-grade student seven books of their choice. The students, faculty, and administration were all excited to welcome the Foundation, which will return in December to give each K, 1, and 2 grader an additional three books. Dr. Buis has a special relationship with Britt as his children went to school there, and he taught across the street at South Gwinnett High School for over twenty years.
